After breakfast drive to Bwindi via Rukungiri through the scenic "little Switzerland of Africa" with good views of this beautiful evergreen area. We have a chance to pass by various road side markets, Ankole Long horned cattle farms and other beautiful sceneries; we my have lunch in Mbarara before proceeding the Impenetrable forest overnight Hotel in Buhoma or Ruhizha depending on where we get the gorilla permits.
An early morning trek into Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park with packed lunch led by experienced guides will lead us to a family of mountain gorillas. Tracking the gorillas through the dense mountain forest is a magical experience. You are allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas and be back to base! Some gorilla families however, are more elusive and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy overnight Buhoma or Ruhizha.
After breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector of the park for a game drive in search for tree climbing Lions, we may have a chance to see Topis, Bush bucks, Water bucks, spotted hyenas, Buffaloes on our way. Overnight in Mweya or any other accommodation depending on availability or budget.
Morning game drive through Kasenyi tracks and Kob mating grounds in search for the Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Hyena, Giant Forest Hogs, spotted hyenas and other game. There after go for an afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga Channel believed to host the largest concentration of Hippos in Africa, a variety of migrant birds, Crocodiles, hippos, a variety of wild life as they come to quench their thirst. Overnight in Mweya or any other accommodation depending on availability or budget.
After breakfast transfer to Fort portal, visit the Nyakasura cave a wonderful feature overnight Hotel in Fort portal or Kibaale forest.
After an early morning breakfast, we walk or drive to Kibaale NP reported to be home to the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in the world. Thirteen (13) different species have been identified here. We go for Chimp tracking, where we may have a chance to see a variety of other primates e.g. the Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, Vervet, L'Hoerst and Red tailed Monkeys, Olive Baboons, Red, Black and white Colobus Monkeys. Afternoon Swamp walk in Bigodi wetland where we have a chance to see a variety of primates.
After breakfast drive to Kampala or back to Entebbe for your flight, end of services.
Our package prices include; accommodations and meals, park entrance fees, boat cruises, vehicle hire with fuel and driver guide, ranger guides fees, guided nature walks and chimp tracking permits.
Gorilla permits cost US$ 500 per person; these are booked in advance for they are sold on first come first serve basis and only confirmed with cash.
Not included in our package prices are tips, drinks, personal insurance, anything not included in the itinerary. Also not included things of personal nature, e.g. laundry, communication e.t.c.
